Ember Sword is a free-to-play Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game (MMORPG) with an immersive dystopian world driven by players with a speedy and classless combat system. The founders of Ember Sword are Mark Laursen, Joris Huijbregts and Loren Roosendaal.

This NFT game is an open-source MMO RPG built on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain. It allows you to create your character, purchase properties, battle monsters, make weapons, and even fight with other players.

The game is inspired by IIIuvium, a game developed by the same group, Bright Star Studios. Although IIIuvium is a classic MMORPG, Ember Sword is a hybrid game incorporating PvE and PvP components.

The game is currently undergoing technical tests for pre-alpha and will eventually move into alpha tests. Before Ember Sword’s testing for technical issues began, players were able to buy plots of land. The players who could not buy land were awarded a badge. They were able to take part in the pre-alpha test.

Four republics are being planned for the moon Thanabus, a dystopian one: Solarwood, Duskerton, Sevrend, and Ediseau. The first test will take place in Solarwood and Duskerton, before the release date of the other nations. Gamers can choose among the nations to be their spawns when creating characters.

Game Mechanics

To play Ember Sword, players are given quests that award players with experience points and gold coins. As players advance in level and experience, they can increase their skills and attributes.
