Cryptoblades Game Review

CryptoBlades is a MOBA NFT game developed by Riveted Games. The blockchain game is available on Avalanche, Polygon, OEC Chain, and HECO Blockchain.

Riveted Games is a small independent game developer based in Los Angeles, California. It has been responsible for creating several successful games.

Dan Karsai, Ray Hammarling, Kyle Kemp, and Philip Devine (CEO) make up the core team at CryptoBlades. Each member of this group is an expert in their field, and together they are bettering the gaming ecosystem through the development of blockchain technology, GameFi, and DeFi projects.

Contracts used by CryptoBlades are live on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). The player will require access to a small quantity of BNB coins to cover the gas fees for processing transactions. They will require access to a wallet (like Metamask) compatible with the BNB cryptocurrency and the SKILL token.

The game’s Roadmap shows the game’s complete, to-do, and in-progress development. Across several digital channels, including Twitter and Discord, Cryptoblades has an active, engaged and organically growing community of thousands of subscribers.

Game Mechanics

CryptoBlades is an innovative blockchain technology and Play-to-earn game where you can earn cryptocurrency while playing. In this game, you can use real money to purchase items in the virtual world. You can even transfer your earned currency into another account.

The game features a unique mechanic called “blades.” Players can collect blades to increase their level, unlock additional skills, and buy powerful weapons. Blades can be acquired by winning battles against other players or purchasing them directly from the market.

In addition to earning crypto through gameplay, there are ways to earn tokens by completing quests, PvP, referring friends, and participating in events. These rewards can be used to acquire special items, including the ability to teleport anywhere in the CryptoBlades kingdoms.

Characters and Weapons

The Plaza is where you create your first character and begin the game. The component of a character is chosen at random. There is no need to manufacture a weapon before engaging in combat, as the first character minted already has one.

The player will pay a small BNB gas fee to battle against a predetermined foe. The dice roll results are recorded in the blockchain, and the game continues. If the battle ends in the player’s favor, they will gain SKILL and experience. If the game ends in a loss, the player receives no compensation.

In CryptoBlades, players can choose from weaponry across five distinct difficulty levels. Each tier is assigned a star rating from one to five. Players are given a weapon with one star of power when they create their first character.

As with the characters, the weapons will be imbued with one of the four elements: Fire, Earth, Lightning, and Water.

CryptoBlades Tokenomics

In CryptoBlades, SKILL is the game’s in-game currency. The SKILL token is used for trading on the CryptoBlades Market, creating and reforging weapons, and unlocking new playable characters.

According to the game’s Whitepaper, the total supply of the SKILL token is divided into IDO, gameplay incentives, development, initial liquidity, and liquidity incentives.

With enough SKILL, your NFT characters will be as fresh as the day they were created. You can see the cost of minting at the Plaza, where you also retain your active characters. The token can be swapped on ApeSwap, paired with BNB.

Play-to-earn with CryptoBlades

CryptoBlades allows players to earn SKILL tokens by completing daily tasks. Gamers are rewarded with SKILL tokens based on how many actions they complete each day. The more actions completed, the more SKILL earned. These actions include watching videos, playing games, reading articles, voting in polls, engaging in social media discussions, and completing surveys.

The player can use these SKILL tokens to unlock additional features within the game, such as customizing avatars, purchasing items, unlocking new weapons, and participating in tournaments. There is no limit to the number of SKILL tokens that can be purchased; however, the cost increases with every purchase. Purchasing SKILL tokens does not affect gameplay; it simply unlocks additional functionality.

A unique feature of CryptoBlades is that players can stake their SKILL tokens to earn interest. This process involves locking up SKILL tokens in pairs with other players, known as “staking partners.” When one partner stakes their SKILL tokens, the currency held by both parties decreases proportionally. Once the partnership ends, either party can choose to unstake their SKILL tokens.

In addition to earning SKILL tokens, players can earn tokens passively by staking their SKILL tokens. The system automatically generates a random amount when a player completes a task.
