Shiba Eternity Game Review
Shiba Eternity is a free-to-play collectible card game based around Shiba Inu. The Shiba Inu game is developed by PlaySide Studios and pays homage to cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Shiba Eternity is part of a wider Shiba Inus crypto ecosystem.
The creator of Shiba Inu, Shytoshi Kusama, has announced the worldwide release of Shiba Eternity. William Volk, a gaming industry veteran with over 25 years of experience at major studios like Activision and ROKiT Games, is the lead developer of Shiba Eternity.
Set in a fantasy world inspired by Japan’s ancient history, it features ten thousand unique Shiba Inu characters, including some of the most famous ones ever produced. Each character has their own story and background, and players are tasked with creating their team of warriors and mages to fight alongside them.
Story Line: The story’s premise is that after the UFO crash in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1951, humans learned about technology from the “Shib Universe” and captured a “Grey” alien who divulged this information to governments around the world. To visit one of the ten inhabited planets in the Shiba galaxy, humanity “harnessed the might of the Shibarium” and sent a starship, the SS Virgil, into deep space.
The game was first tested in Vietnam and Australia. The game has been trending online since the SHIB army eagerly awaits the Shibarium Layer 2, a remedy for Shiba Inus.
The learning curve for Shiba Eternity is minimal. The game is available on the Play Store (Android) and the App Store (iOS).
Game Mechanics
The gameplay of this card game is pretty simple. Players select a character and battle against each other. You choose your deck of fighters, and then you draw one of your four cards. Your opponents do the same. You take turns drawing cards and discarding some of them.
Shiba Eternity is a free-to-play game. However, the game features a pay-to-win mechanic wherein the greatest Shiboshi cards can be purchased to advance through quests and overcome other players. Various kibble and card packs and bundles are available for purchase.
Each player chooses four cards to use as a foundation for the game. A player’s turn consists of playing spell cards, equipping the Shiboshi with weapons and armor, assaulting the opponent, and summoning fighter cards to the field.
Only low-value cards with a bark power of one or two can be played in the opening round. But with each turn, players gain more bark power, allowing them to play more powerful cards.
In Shiba Eternity’s metaverse, you can find 500 collector cards and 10,000 Shiboshis heroes. When you start a new game, you can play a practice, unranked, or ranked game.
The Shiba Eternity bosses are Trophias, Phoenix, Milkshake, Volkster, Shytoshi, and Ryoshi.
SHIB Powers
It’s possible to teach a new Shiboshi Shib abilities through training. Depending on what type of Shiboshi you are, you will have access to various cards with unique skills and strategies. It is important to choose a Shiboshi’s specialization and consider the Shib Powers and Trait Cards it possesses.
Shiboshis: Shiba Inu’s enthusiast has stated that the Shiboshis on Shiba Eternity will be linked to the Shiboshis NFT collection on Ethereum.
The “Dogjo” square is home to many Shiboshis, each with its statistics and skills.
Shiba Eternity Tokenomics
Since the game is new, there have been speculations on other crypto news that the P2E game, Shiba Eternity, will use SHIB as its main currency. There has yet to be an official update on this matter.
As of now, Shiba Eternity uses Kibbles as its in-game currency. Also, players can buy a card bundle or an experience point increase for a certain dollar to use in the game. The proceeds from these sales will be used to buy back and burn SHIB tokens.
Meme coins have no functional value in the game right now.
The Shiba Inu team claims they are working on a blockchain implementation of Shiba Eternity. Players can gain in-game token rewards using the 10,000 Shiboshis set of NFTs.
The Shiba Inu ecosystem’s informational purpose blogs have mentioned a reward token called ‘TREAT’ that will probably be used in Shiba Eternity.
Play-to-earn with Shiba Eternity
There is no actual money or cryptocurrencies in Shiba Eternity. The game’s objective is to introduce individuals to the world of Shiba Inus and get them playing. At least in terms of the plot, no virtual currencies based on the blockchain are used in this game.
NFT cards will likely be the primary means players gain access to Shiba Eternity rather than fungible tokens. For those who have played other mobile games, Shiba Eternity will feel extremely familiar as it uses many of the same mechanics.
The launching of Shiba Eternity marks a milestone event for the Shiba Inu community as large as the SHIB cryptocurrency. What began as a meme coin released to capitalize on the Dogecoin ($DOGE) frenzy has grown into a legitimate brand capable of luring major studios.
