Skyweaver Game Review

Skyweaver is an online deck-building Trading Card Game (TCG) built on blockchain technology and operates on the Ethereum sidechain Polygon (Matic). In the game, gamers collect cards and fight each other in turn-based battles.

The new player starts with a deck of 10 Skyweaver cards. As players win battles, they earn experience points, which allow them to level up and unlock additional cards. These cards include unique items and powerful spells. Once unlocked, players can equip these cards onto their character.

Horizon Blockchain Games is the developer of Skyweaver, a blockchain-based space trading simulation game. Peter Kieltyka, Co-Founder & CEO at Horizon Blockchain Games, developed Skyweaver for almost four years to ensure that everyone can enjoy the purity of Web3 games.

The game’s website (https://www.skyweaver.net) features a Makers Program for content creators and a Community Hall of Fame where you can view various animations created by its community via social media posts.

The game is available on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOs, and Android.

Game Mechanics

SkyWeaver is a free-to-play crypto game. Like most other card games, each random deck card has a specific function. Each card, whether it’s a hero or a spell, has the potential to be enchanted, have an effect, or possess a certain quality.

The game is a decentralized gaming network where players can buy, sell and trade digital assets. These items include digital collectibles called Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs). You can buy, sell and exchange these unique items within the Skyweaver ecosystem.

The NFT assets are cards you can use, collect and trade. NFTs on Skywaver follow Ethereum’s ERC-1155 Standard for both fungible and NFTs.

Each deck will have a Hero and a Prism associated with it. The game’s five Prisms are strength, agility, wisdom, heart, and intellect.

Some decks have the capability of combining two prisms to produce novel synergies. Certain magical powers held by heroes have the potential to enhance a prism’s brilliance.

The game modes are Ranked, Conquest, Private, Practice, and Tutorial.

Ranked: Do battle with other players to rise in the weekly leaderboard rankings and earn tradable Silver cards.

Conquest: This PvP win-streak tournament aims to award the winner a set of rare Gold NFT cards. You can keep playing until you’ve racked up three victories and earned the maximum rewards.

If you lose just once, the Conquest will be finished. The model is a series of games similar to Hearthstone’s “Arena,” in which you receive 25 random decks based on your prism selection.

Private: Choose a friend and challenge them to play the game up to level 15 in a private game.

Practice: You work with a robot in practice. You will struggle against the lowly robot and acquire experience up to level 15.

Tutorial: You can master the game as you aid Ada on her travels and study the fundamentals of Units, Mana, and Combat.

Discovery and Constructed Mode

In every game mode, you can choose between 2 game mode types.

Discovery Mode: You can use a deck of random cards from your chosen Hero. Discovery is an excellent game type if you still need to make a deck or feel like trying to make your custom card deck.

Constructed Mode: You can use a deck you’ve built to play. As soon as you have enough cards, you can use the user-friendly deck builder to construct a deck tailored to your preferred method of play.

Skyweaver Tokenomics

The game’s in-game currency is USDC, a cryptocurrency based on the US dollar. It’s an ERC 20 token. It’s used to purchase packs of cards, which are sold individually or bundled into sets. Each pack contains one card plus some bonus items like booster packs.

You can also use ERC 1155 tokens, coauthored with Horizon, to create other kinds of cards, including fungible and semi-permanent ones. These include tokens, which allow you to make unique copies of a card; shards, which let you split up a single card into multiple pieces; and “bonds,” which let you combine different cards.

Play-to-earn with Skyweaver

In Skyweaver metaverse, you can own, trade, and give away your cards for no cost. Gain marketable cards (NFTs) and become a legendary Skyweaver through deep strategic gameplay and a player-owned marketplace.

To make money off your cards, you can sell them on the market or trade them for real-world cash. If you want to keep earning cards without spending money, you can play games for fun rather than earn cards.

The payoffs you receive are proportional to your effort level and how well you play the game. The base cards can’t be sold, but silver and gold cards can.

You can’t change the sequences in your wallet into US dollars, or it would prevent the use of any fiat currency. This can be accomplished through the use of a third-party exchange.

Silver and gold cards will be awarded based on the player’s position on the leaderboard. Silver cards are significantly lower in value than their Gold counterparts and are primarily utilized to access the Conquest mode to obtain Gold cards.

Many Twitch streamers and content creators also draw a sizable audience by sharing their in-depth knowledge of the game through articles and videos on the platform. Several self-proclaimed “Skyweaver trainers” have offered courses and live instruction for a specific fee per hour.
