The Yield Guild Games Southeast Asia (YGG SEA) is a decentralized platform for buying and selling NFTs. The team built a global network of communities where people can trade, sell, buy, lend, borrow, gift, collect, play, and build.

The vision of YGG SEA is to build a decentralized ecosystem where players can play games without having to trust third parties and where game developers can create games without relying on centralized platforms.

YGG SEA has been given the task of investing locally in the region. Therefore, it prioritizes the acquisition of game assets tailored to the preferences of SEA’s player base and the promotion of locally developed play-to-earn games. The goal is to make blockchain technology accessible to everyone by providing a simple interface and easy access to the tools.

Sipher, Thetan Arena, Axie Infinity, and Aavegotchi are just a few of the locally important play-to-earn games that YGG SEA has already invested in. The company is currently working to form relationships with other gaming communities with high-quality games they believe the community would love.

YGG SEA Founders

The team behind YGG SEA is composed of experienced game developers, blockchain experts, economists, and marketing professionals. They are passionate about creating the best player experience while ensuring everyone involved in the ecosystem benefits.

To ensure the smooth launch of YGG SEA, the first subDAO of YGG assembled a core team led by Evan Spytma, with additional support from an incubator team by Infinity Ventures Crypto and Yield Guild Games.

Spytma launched the first venture capital firm dedicated to the gaming industry in Southeast Asia and abroad, with an eye toward Southeast Asian and international start-ups.

YGG SEA Co-founders are Evan Spytma (Taiwan), Irene Umar (Indonesia), Lagunast (Vietnam), Joshua Ho (Singapore), Richie Jiaravanon (Thailand), Brian Lu (Taiwan), and Gabby Dizon (Philippines).

Blockchain gaming has become massively popular among Southeast Asians due to the region’s large number of gamers. There are already country managers within YGG SEA for important countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Singapore.

The YGG SEA metaverse formed a strategic partnership with different Web3 firms such as Crypto.com Capital, Yolo investments, Poloniex, Solana Ventures, and many more. The private funding round led by Crypto.com, Animoca Brands, etc., was supported by Circle, Polygon, Bukalapak, UOB, Sweeper DAO, and many others.

YGG and YGG SEA

YGG SEA is a sub-DAO that is part of the larger YGG DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) and has its unique economy.

YGG SEA and YGG Alliance are a partnership of companies dedicated to advancing blockchain technology. To meet the demands of play-to-earn gamers all around Southeast Asia, YGG has launched its first regional subDAO, YGG SEA.

YGG SEA has a symbiotic relationship with YGG, a blockchain project that provides decentralized cloud computing solutions. Both projects are based out of Singapore and have similar visions – to provide a better blockchain gaming experience for everyone.

With YGG SEA forming stronger relationships with local partners, increasing local user acquisition, and deploying retention strategies will contribute to the broader ecosystem as its presence grows and optimize asset allocation and rewards for researchers. It provides on and off-ramp support to help users convert cryptocurrency to fiat more efficiently while providing greater regulatory representation.

YGG SEA Scholarship Program

Players in YGG SEA can enjoy P2E games without spending real money or NFTs thanks to the Scholarship revenue sharing program. Scholars have permission to use YGG SEA’s game assets. After paying a small rental charge to YGG SEA, players keep the great bulk of their in-game earnings.

Joining the guild’s Discord, filling out an application, and minting a badge on the YGG SEA website are all players need to do to take part in the scholarship.

As an entry into the exciting, engaging, and welcoming Web 3.0 area, the scholarship program offers training, mentoring, and a wealth of other perks, such as free access to various P2E games, opportunities to participate in community building and take on leadership roles, and more.

Community and Liquidity Rewards

The YGG SEA launched a reward program that will give out tokens to those participating in the ecosystem’s growth called ‘Community Rewards‘ and ‘Liquidity Rewards.’ It will be given to those who provide liquidity to the market. Both types of rewards will be distributed based on the volume traded on the exchange.

Community Rewards will be awarded monthly to those who contribute to the development of the YGG SEA ecosystem. They will include benefits such as discounts on game purchases, free game keys, exclusive events, etc.

Liquidity Rewards will be given out once per quarter. They will comprise a percentage of the total trading volume on the exchange during each quarter.

SEA Tokenomics

$SEA Token is the official governance token of YGG SEA. The token gives Whitelist opportunities for GameFi & Non-GameFi NFTs, voting on governance proposals, upcoming feature requests, reward model changes, and ecosystem reward allocation.
