Pegaxy Game Review
Pegaxy (Pegasus Galaxy) is a simulation game where you breed virtual pets called Pegas. You start with one of three different breeds and compete against thousands of others worldwide to breed the best pet possible.
The Pegaxy team comprises seasoned gaming experts from Vietnam, and they continued to recruit subscribers and placed particular emphasis on 3D rendering and graphics quality.
Pegaxy plans to expand into a fully-fledged mobile game for android and iOS players. The Pegaxy project is a decentralized video game built on blockchain technology. In addition to being a competitive game, it offers many features such as in-game items trading, a reputation system, etc.
Game Mechanics
The game is played on a browser. You are given a set number of coins to buy a Pega. Each coin represents one unit of currency. Your goal is to buy a Pega that matches the attributes of the host stadium.
You start with three random Pega. Each has different stats, such as speed, strength, lightning, etc. These attributes determine how successful they will be in the tournament.
The game is simulated, and several of the competition’s variables depend on Random Number Generator (RNG). The top three Pegas receive the token prizes of VIS for the round.
In addition to selecting a Pega, you must choose a team. Each team consists of four Pega, each with a unique attribute combination. For example, there might be a Lightning Team consisting of a Lightning Pega, Wind Pega, Fire Pega, and Water Pega.
When it comes to gameplay, the experience is very much like a real-life sports betting simulator. You purchase currency units, called “coins,” with which you can build your Pega. You can use up to 30 coins per round.
Each Pega costs money. You’ll lose points if you don’t have enough coins left. However, if you have enough coins, you can buy additional attributes like speed, strength, lightning, and wind.
To win, you have to outscore your opponent. To score, you add the attributes of your Pega, and the winner will be determined with the highest combined score.
If you manage to beat your opponent, you move on to the next round. If you fail to win, you’ll be eliminated.
Pegaxy Tokenomics
The game is based on the Polygon/MATIC layer, two blockchain gaming systems. Pegaxy features a dual-token economic model.
VIGORUS (VIS) is the primary token, and it is primarily traded for breeding purposes but can also be exchanged for any other cryptocurrency.
Pegaxy Stone (PGX) governance token is the second. Players use the token to lease the Pega NFTs that other players have. This NFT game lets players play or bet on liquid cash rewards.
In addition to PGX and VIS tokens, MATIC crypto and wrapped Ethereum (ETH) can also be used to earn money in the game. On account of PGX and VIS being traded on decentralized exchanges, token holders can serve as liquidity providers and earn compensation for locking their tokens.
Vigorus (VIS)
The VIS token is the main “earning” and “spending” token in the Pegaxy ecosystem. There was never an IDO for VIS or any pre-minted VIS.
As detailed in its whitepaper, VIS is destroyed by its Breeding Model. The goal is to establish an appropriately balanced burn and mint ratio without allowing micromanagement or over-the-top in the ecosystem.
Gamers can earn VIS tokens by competing against other players within the game. You will not get the VIS token incentives if you are not among the top 3. Due to the dynamic nature of the game’s economy, the amount of VIS earned for races can change quickly.
The VIS token is the main token used in breeding and mixing. The amount needed to breed is contingent upon the number of breeds in each Pega, and how much VIS is needed to fuse is determined by the breed of Pega.
Pegaxy Stones (PGX)
Pegaxy Stones (PGX) are stored in Polygon layer chain 2. Initially, it was possible to earn PGX tokens through playing, but this changed with the introduction of the Community Treasury Staking.
The cost within the Pegaxy metaverse for the initial calendar year goes to the game studio to help in the development costs of large-scale collaborations, hiring experts with experience, and establishing an extremely solid base. This allows game studios to grow and speed up the development of the game, which helps speed up the inevitable decentralization of the game.
If staking goes live, participants can put their coins in the Treasury, be awarded PGX, and participate in voting on major initiatives and suggestions for the ecosystem.
Fabled Tokens
Fabled tokens can be an effective tool for those fortunate enough to possess them. They offer players the chance to transform their regular Pega into the Crowned Pega.
They are earned by referring a person to Pegaxy. Moreover, the Pegaxy platform requires them to purchase one Pega. They do not expire or vanish. They remain in your account until they are used, burnt (destroyed), or transferred to the market.
Fabled Tokens will be burned (destroyed) when used, which means the token’s supply decreases in circulation as time passes, resulting in greater market scarcity.
Play-to-earn with Pegaxy
Pegaxy is not a free-to-earn game due to the need for a Horse NFT, but it does offer a special setting in which players can take part in any race at no cost. With this economic model, gaming is incredibly competitive, yet the awards are still tempting.
The Pegaxy ecosystem consists of three main parts: the Player Network, the Marketplace, and the Scholar Network.
In the Player Network, players can buy and sell NFTs and compete against each other in races. Players can choose to play as a Player Partner or a Player.
As a Player Partner, you can use your funds to purchase NFTs from the Marketplace and place them into the Player Network. As a Player, you can make money by competing against others in races.
If you want to become a Breeder, you can do it by buying horses from the Marketplace and breeding them. Each horse has a price that depends on its traits and rarity.
When you successfully breed a horse, you receive a reward in VIS tokens. You may profit from the NFT horses you own by either racing them for VIS or selling them on the Marketplace for USDT or PGX.
