Riot Racers Game Review
The Riot Racers team has developed a custom racing simulator for the Polygon network. Riot Racers aims to create a community and a functional in-game economy through generative drivers, free racing with paid prizes, and a breeding mechanism. Riot Racers became a trend in the crypto gaming world because of the NFT ownership of everything from the Cars to the racetrack.
The race cars in the Riot Racers video game are digital assets that players can claim as their own. Reward points can be earned by either actively playing the game or holding NFTs in the game.
Game Mechanics
In Riot Racers, you race to earn coins that may be used to buy new vehicles and unlock new drivers. You can buy cars and drivers with real money, but you don’t have to. Instead, you’re free to spend your hard-earned coins on upgrades and customization options.
This gives you full control over how your car looks. You can even change the color of your car and the driver’s skin.
Players start with three starter cars. They’ll need to earn additional vehicles throughout the game. To do that, they’ll need to complete races and win them. Races take place on tracks that range from city streets to open fields. There are five types of races: Sprint, Drift, Rallycross, Road Race, and Offroad.
After forming a racing team, players can select from six distinct racing strategies. Bad weather is a constant companion during every race.
Each race type offers a variety of challenges and racing conditions. For example, sprint races require quick reflexes, while drift events require precision driving skills. Other factors like weather and track surface affect the outcome of a race.
The game features both single and multiplayer modes. Gamers can compete against AI opponents or challenge friends via local network connections in solo mode.
The game also offers ownable NFT game assets:
Gas Stations: The price of gasoline serves as the entry fee for competitions. Drivers must fill up their tanks at the gas station before entering a competition. When a racer enters, they must purchase a certain number of gallons (GAL) of fuel at a discounted rate.
The Genesis Collection contains only 20 gas stations. No more gas stations will be made available until at least 25,000 vehicles have been sold.
Mechanic Shops: To get new parts and tune their vehicles, racers need to visit a Mechanic Shop. The mechanic shop receives a commission on all upgrades bought there. All the money made from the sale of upgrades to the various Mechanic Shops will be combined and divided fairly among their respective proprietors.
Racetrack Land: Seven Racetracks are available in Riot Racers. Different classes of racing vehicles compete on different types of Racetracks. When races are held on the land owned by the racetrack owners, they receive race fees.
Billboard Land: Motorsports marketing plays a significant role in the sport of auto racing. Billboard Land allows the dynamic placement of in-game advertising. Create and publish your advertisement, or provide your placement services to others.
Cars
The cars and drivers are the game’s most important resource in its gameplay because you need them to progress. The official Riot Racers Car Collection is available on OpenSea and in Riot Racers Drops.
New vehicles are added to the game periodically. The Genesis Collection, totaling 3,333 vehicles, was the first to be unveiled. The Apollo Collection is the second series of vehicles, and it includes 7,777 vehicles.
Rare vehicles are more valuable than common ones due to their rarity and the features they possess in-game. The model and color of the car, as well as its place and number in the release and the collection, all contribute to its overall rarity. Characteristics of vehicles in the game are divided into three categories: Car Class, Car Experience, and Car Upgrades.
Car and Driver Rentals
Renting items is convenient for new players to jump into Riot Racers without saving up for the full game purchase.
Renting out your Car and Driver is a great way to rack up RIOT without putting in any actual racing time. The process of renting assets and collecting rent is straightforward and trustworthy. It’s simple for anyone to become a landlord in Riot Racers, and the profits are split evenly between the landlord and tenant.
Riot Racers Tokenomics
The RIOT token (ERC-20 token) is the in-game currency and governance token for the Riot Racers ecosystem. Players can use it to run for office, receive rewards, buy in-game items, pay for in-game actions, and more.
The purpose of the RIOT token, as developed and envisioned by its creators, is to function as a governance token with practical applications.
The RIOT token was generated on the Ethereum blockchain using a standardized, industry-wide smart contract, making it freely exchangeable with other ERC-20 tokens.
It is necessary to transfer RIOT from the Polygon network or the Ethereum Mainnet Network into the in-game wallet using the riotracers.com app.
Payment for in-game purchases is handled by the in-game wallet, which also facilitates RIOT token withdrawals to the outside Polygon network. Blockchain games and DeFi projects frequently use Polygon, a second layer Ethereum chain.
There are additional perks for token holders who keep their tokens rather than sell them. Token holders who keep their coins for at least a week will benefit from a staking program.
Play-to-earn with Riot Racers
RIOT Racers is a play-to-earn game where players compete against one another to win money and unlock special vehicles. You must collect coins to buy cars, upgrade them, and enter races to play.
The most basic type of race allows players to race around a track collecting coins. These races are free and give out no prizes except bragging rights. However, some races require you to complete specific tasks, such as picking up certain objects.
Based on the initial purchase price, a retailer can expect to earn RIOT tokens in the first year worth around half of the initial investment.
Mechanic Shop, Racetrack, and Gas Station owners receive a percentage of the fees paid to improve vehicles and to enter races. You can exchange these tokens via the Riot Racers web app.
Winners of the top three spots in each race are given RIOT tokens. These tokens are added to a player’s in-game wallet without further action and can be used to purchase cosmetic items, pay for entrance to races, or rename assets.
The Riot Owners Club is open to everyone who owns a vehicle from the Genesis Collection. According to their ROC rank, ROC Members receive increasingly larger amounts of RIOT tokens. In addition, you get free limited-edition automobiles, access to exclusive Discord channels, and exclusive Loot Boxes.
If you want to participate in a paid race, you can use real money to purchase a car. Once purchased, you can use it to race against other competitors. Each car costs a set amount of money, and the price goes down as the rarity of the vehicle increases.
Racetrack land: The more Genesis Racetrack Land you purchase, the better the RIOT Metaverse land you will receive for free. This additional territory is in addition to the Racetrack Land you’ll receive.
Mechanic Shops and Gas Stations: Based on the initial purchase price, a retailer can expect to earn RIOT tokens in the first year, worth around half of the initial investment.
A reward split system will be in place for all rental listings of in-game items on the rental marketplace. All rentals are free of charge. However, the renter can keep only the percentage of race winnings that were originally offered. After the event, all awards won in a race will be automatically split between the renter and the owners’ cryptocurrency wallet.
